I have had many moves and thus, many experiences with moving companies. These include corporate movers and cross state movers. Grasshopper Movers is HANDS DOWN the best moving company I've worked with. Maybe because they are local and small, or maybe because they're just committed to providing the best service possible.

EVERY single person I dealt with at Grasshopper has been customer focused and professional. They are clearly a company that is focused on meeting customer needs versus up-selling or lengthening the process.

I would have even considered myself a not ideal client in that I contacted Grasshopper last minute and used them for storage far longer than anticipated AND asked for delivery and received it within 2 days of the request (meaning they didn't get to milk more money out of us just because they could.).

DC is filled with lots of competition and these folks are just old fashioned in their approach - they have pride in their work. Finally, they also had the best price based on my extensive research (which I do professionally). If only they provided services outside of moving and storage - housekeeping? mobile phone service? Wifi & cable TV? OK, now I jest, but you get my point.

Call them and sleep well. (FYI: I rarely write these because I seem to not have time, but I was motivated because of how awesome they all were to me - it's the least I could do.)

Steve, Ben, and their staff are amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Not only were they fast, professional, and provided work of the highest quality (no damages to anything), they are flexible and reasonably priced to boot. I relied on them to help me move from DC to Philly. They were extremely kind and responsive through several schedule changes as my closing date kept moving and loft renovations were repeatedly delayed. They just rock. I will definitely call them again next time I move.

These guys are seriously the best. Having used them before, I booked them again for a long distance move to North Carolina. Ben came to the house to see how much stuff we have and take pictures so that he could give an accurate quote. We ended up having Grasshopper pack up the entire house in addition to making the move. They worked with us on scheduling, did a VERY impressive and quick job of packing everything up, and were nothing but professional and pleasant throughout the process. I would use them again in a heartbeat, but hopefully won't be moving again anytime soon.

It feels so good to finally write a positive review on here. Grasshopper did an EXCELLENT job and took extremely good care of my valuables. If you are moving, I urge you to consider them as an option. I was only charged for time which was quite unlike other companies that in addition to the time charge, wanted to sell me padded boxes, loan me used wardrobe carriers and charge for an additional storage space stop.  Steve made the process seamless, from my initial call to inquire, to arriving on time in my secured building (even when I didn't answer my phone to buzz him in), to the simplicity of making my final payment...I had no worries.  It was all hassle free thanks to Grasshopper. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family and use them to get to my next destination.
